Jack Breaks Club Records at South East Regional Finals

Jack at K2 Crawley ahead of his record breaking 50 Breaststroke event

Over 2 weekends in May Jack Westerman flew the flag for Cranleigh ASC at the South East Region Age Group Swimming Championships, held at the 50 m pool at K2, Crawley.

Jack gained confidence  during the championships, and after a nervous start in the 200m breaststroke he finished 22nd in a field of over 30 swimmers, in a long course personal best time of 3:17.58. He then put in a strong swim in the 100 m breaststroke, finishing 20th in a personal best time of 1.31.26, and in his last event, the 50 m breaststroke, he improved even further with a superb PB of 41.01, and finished an admirable 17th. All of his times were new long course club records.

Hopefully the positive experience will serve Jack well at next seasons championships
